Over 20 years after John F. Kennedy Jr.’s mysterious and top-secret wedding, footage from that special day is finally being made public.
John married Carolyn Bessette in July 1999. At the time, they were two of the most visible figures in the world. People were fascinated by their relationship, and they endured an unbelievable amount of media scrutiny.
Like many celebrities, they responded to that scrutiny by being fiercely private whenever possible. The couple went above and beyond to keep their wedding safe from onlookers.
John’s good friend, Billy Noonan, documented the wedding weekend on video, but for all these years, he’s kept the footage secret.
Now, Billy has finally decided to release the footage for an upcoming TLC documentary, JFK Jr. & Carolyn’s Wedding: The Lost Tapes.
