An entertainer should always be ready to perform … you just never know who could be watching.
Marley McAninch, 9, has been singing ever since she was a baby. She’s constantly singing around the house and has performed in various plays and musicals.
One evening, Marley’s mom received a text message asking if her daughter would be willing to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a local Little League championship game in Southern California.
The game was the following day, but Marley said yes without hesitation and jumped at the opportunity just like any pro would do.
Marley barely had any time to practice and rehearse the national anthem, which makes it all the more impressive, considering its high level of difficulty for even the most accomplished singers.
In a 2012 article, ABC News wrote the following:
