Though the Duchess of Sussex, 37, has sometimes skirted this unofficial palace rule — seen as a sign of respect, especially when around elder royals like Queen Elizabeth — she’ll often opt for nude hosiery for major events. But when you’re a duchess, not just any drugstore pair will do.
Heist, a UK-based tights and shapewear brand founded in 2015, initially gifted Markle some tights after she was spotted in a pair of too-pale pantyhose at Buckingham Palace a few days after her wedding; their gifts were returned, however, as royals are banned from accepting freebies.
But in June, the brand was delighted to receive a purchase order from Kensington Palace, which it confirmed came from Markle.
